A Choice to Make 5

Gokudera paced back and forth anxiously in front of Namimori middle school. He wanted to meet her face to face. He wanted to talk to her so bad right now. The female students stared at him and giggled with glee as they left. Gokudera tched. The girls and their giggling were not helping with his stress. He felt a hard whack on the back of his head and glared at his assailant angrily. Hibari returned his glare in equal folds.
   “Why are you here? I thought I told you to back off.” Hibari said with a low voice
   “You’re not the boss of me.” Gokudera retorted. Hibari’s glare intensified and the two stood staring at each other silently.
   “Um…What are you two doing?” Asked a familiar voice. The two turned to face the speaker and were surprised to find the very female that was on their minds. She puffed up her cheeks with a slight glare.
   “I don’t know why you two are so surprised to see me. I work here you know.” She said as she rubbed her temples tiredly. Hibari noticed her tired state and snapped into concern mode immediately.  He gently rubbed her shoulders before speaking.
   “It seems a lot has happened today. Want me to take you back home?” Hibari asked with concern laced in his voice. He gently rubbed her cheeks with his thumb while looking at her with concern.
   “You still have work don’t you? I’ll be fine.” The female said as she smiled up at him lovingly. Gokudera felt like needles were being stabbed into his heart. She used to look at him that way too.
   “You sure?” Asked Hibari.
   “Yeah! I still need to buy some stuff from town so I can get them along the way home.”
   “I can do it…” Hibari was about to continue but the female silenced him with a finger to his lip. She gave him a peck before walking away.
   “When I say I’ll do it. I’ll do it. See you later tonight!” She said as she waved at him. Hibari sighed before turning to face Gokudera. Gokudera’s hand were in clenched fist, his knuckles white. His face downcast with his hair covering his expression.
   “We have decided to move the wedding to a month from now.” Hibari said. Gokudera snapped his head up.
  “What?”
  “Due to certain events.”
  “You should at least let me talk to her then!” Gokudera snarled angrily.
  “And do what? She doesn’t need any more stress.”
  “Just to close up loose ends. At least let me get some closure.” Gokudera shouted. His head spinning from anger and confusion. He wanted to talk to her. He wanted to hold her. Hibari rubbed his head with annoyance.
  “Go ahead. She’s alone right now. You can still catch up to her.” Hibari said as he stalked away angrily. Gokudera stared at his back as he walked away. Gokudera was a bit surprised at how easily he gave in then realized it was his chance to run after her. He took off with a smile on his face.
